Paige’s face was a mask of fury, her fingers slightly shifting into claws as she pointed at Dwight, tied to the tree.
“He pushed her. We let our guard down,” she admitted, her pheromones sparking like suppressed flames.
Paige then detailed the events. Dwight, having somewhat recovered from Willow's loss, had realized his past
mistakes and started visiting Melinda daily with apologies and gifts.

Paige, upon returning, beat and bound Dwight to the tree.
The commotion drew the Soulrend Pack’s attention. Everyone gathered to see what had happened.

Blackthorn Pack, she couldn't interfere with Soulrend Pack’s matters. She straightened her back and demanded,
“What do you think you're doing?”
Adelaide’s voice was icy as she warned, “One more word from you that insults Melinda, I'll have you arrested for
insulting the royal family.”
