Chapter 6:
Kristopher narrowed his eyes, his dissatisfaction growing.
He recognized the man dancing with Belinda. It was Darren. Kristopher had cacross this man’s details while
looking into Belinda’s past.
He was a senior from her school days, someone she had almost ended up with.
On the dance floor, they moved together with an unsettling closeness. Belinda was speaking, her gaze tenderly
locked on Darren.
Her clear, gentle eyes and radiant smile pierced Kristopher like a dagger.
Every expression from Belinda was like a wound to his heart. Could it be that Belinda had shown up in Rozand
without any prior notice, dressed like this, all for Darren?
It had been merely a week since they had lost their child. Was she already seeking solace in someone else's
arms?

“Kristopher?”
When Kristopher remained silent, Cathy let out a sigh.
“Maybe you should go to Belinda.”
As she spoke, she lowered her eyes. “She might be hurt seeing you with me. Perhaps that’s why she’s dancing
with other men. Go to her. Don’t letbe the reason your relationship suffers.”
“I have no relationship with her.”
Cathy barely started before Kristopher shifted his attention away and cut her off. “Shouldn’t we be dancing?” He
offered his hand to her. “Come, let's dance.”
For the past three years, he and Belinda had kept their marriage a secret, seldom appearing together at public
gatherings. On the rare occasions they did attend the sparties, they behaved as if they were mere
acquaintances.
Maybe Belinda was certain that he would always treat her as a stranger in public, no matter what, which
emboldened her to dance with other men right before his eyes.

No matter, he thought, there would be ample tto address this when they returned to their hin Nawrin.
With that thought, he turned away and escorted Cathy onto the dance floor.
As Kristopher and Cathy, a perfect match to the public, stepped onto the dance floor, others were inspired to
invite their own partners to join them.
The mood at the party quickly picked up.
Seizing the moment, the host grabbed a microphone, his voice crackling with excitement. “Let's add a twist to
the evening! The spotlight will fall on two couples, and they'll swap partners. You'll have one minute to dance
with your new partner. Let’s make sure to keep to the rules!”
After he finished speaking, the lights began to sway.
Perhaps because Belinda’s red dress was too eye-catching, the lights continually highlighted her. She obediently
followed the rules of the game, changing partners twice in succession.
From a short distance, Kristopher could clearly see that whenever Belinda danced with a new partner, her face
was always adorned with a polite, gentle smile.
He had thought such a gentle smile was reserved only for him!
But now, he realized she offered that ssmile even to strangers. His eyes narrowed, a chill settling in them as
his expression darkened.
“Belinda seems quite popular.”
Sensing Kristopher’s intense gaze, Cathy leaned closer to him, her voice tinged with a trace of sadness as she
said, “I've been in the entertainment industry for so many years, yet | still feel uneasy acting with male actors
I'm not familiar with. But Belinda, she seems so comfortable with everyone.”
As she spoke, she feigned a sigh. “I really must get stips from Belinda when there’s a chance.”
With each word she spoke, Kristopher’s gaze towards Belinda turned even colder.
At that moment, both couples were suddenly illuminated by the spotlight.
The two beams on the dance floor lit up both Belinda and Darren, and Kristopher and Cathy.
