"What... What the hell have you done to them? I'm warning you, murder is an offense punishable by death!"

Yance went pale in the face as he spoke, terrified by Wilbur's ministrations.

Wilbur got to his feet, putting his hands on Yance's desk as he stared him coldly in the eyes.

"I'm going to say this one last time. | applied to be a medical intern here. | hope you won't makerepeat this a second time, or

you're going to regret it."

The words gave Yance a shock, and he found himself retreating backward.

"W-What are you trying to do? I'm warning you! Don't try anything funny! We have laws in place for a reason, you'll be done for if

you screw it up!"
