Chapter 509
"She is more concerned with her reputation and her position in the Henderson family than me," Yolanda said to
Winnie about Diana.
She had already seen through Diana's ingenuity, so no matter what she did, Yolanda didn't find it odd.
Winnie thought Diana wasn't as bad, but she didn't force Yolanda to accept her point of view.
"Don't worry, Yolanda. No matter if you're a Henderson or not, you're still my cousin."
Then, she wrapped Yolanda in a careful embrace since her hands were greasy from the fried chicken. "We're
family forever!"
Yolanda was slightly taken aback, but she returned Winnie's hug.
It was a chilly night in early spring. There might not be a fire in the fireplace, but at least no one would be feeling
cold that night.
When Yolanda walked into the classroom the next day, she found a lot of revision questions on her table.
"These are all the Southdale Physics Competition questions we've gathered and we've made you a copy,
Yolanda." Aileen Harper, the class representative, said as she made her way to Yolanda.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"It's less than half a month away until the Southdale Physics Competition. | think you'll be able to get good
results for our academy!"
Their academy had always failed to obtain substantial results. This time, they had Yolanda. They could finally
regain their dignity for sure.
After the students of class 1A had reflected on their actions, their attitude toward Yolanda had a major change.
"Thank you." Yolanda might not need these questions to practice, but she still expressed her heartfelt gratitude
to her classmates who cared.
"Also, here are past year questions. You can also take a look. If you don't understand anything, we can discuss
them together."
Another classmate carried a thick stack of information and passed it to Yolanda.
"I don't understand this question, Yolanda. Could you teach me, please?"
Ever since they realized that Yolanda wasn't as aloof as she seemed, they had more courage to approach her.
Yolanda's desk had never stopped bustling with people the entire self-study lesson.
Yvonne and her friends, who happened to walk past class 1A, saw that.
"How shameless!" The girl beside Yvonne huffed coldly.
"So what if she had good grades? She's still disgusting because she has bad behavior and bad morals."
"Don't say that. She's my sister. | have to follow everything she says unconditionally. I've gotten used to it by
now." Yvonne forced a smile.
"Also, she's so outstanding, and we, the Hendersons, are proud of her. Ah, no, | can't say that anymore..."
Yvonne added as a hint of sorrow flashed in her eyes.
"What happened, Yvonne?" Her friends asked, confused.
"My sister has already cut ties with us. | don't know if it's because I've done something wrong to cross her."
"My goodness! This is her severing ties with her family because she has gotten herself involved with the Savage
family now, isn't it?" Yvonne's classmates were all enraged.
"Yolanda's such a piece of shit!"
"Maybe we've done something wrong to anger her," Yvonne answered with a sigh.
She knew she had to do something to tarnish Yolanda's reputation when Yolanda got first place again. She had to
change what people were saying about her throughout the academy.
No matter how good Yolanda's results might be, if she didn't have good character, someone was bound to be
displeased with her.
Even if everything regarding the Hendersons had nothing to do with Yolanda, Yvonne still didn't want her to live
too comfortably in school.
