His remark turned Nyx’s face red. She glanced up at him, and he glanced down at her. A second later, she said to

While sparks flew in the ballroom behind her, Inez was looking for Selene. However, as she returned to the spot

wondering if Selene had stepped out of the ballroom because she felt stifled. Inez wouldn't blher if she had.

Inez paused at the last stair and turned to look around the dark surroundings, but she didn’t see Selene.

surrounded the territory, looking quite worried. Seeing him like this, Inez felt her heart skip a few beats. She

hurried down to where the man was standing and questioned him, "What happened? Why are you here, and

where is Selene?"

When Laxus turned around and saw her, his face was filled with relief. "I don’t know. She askedto go and get

with her, especially when | know how others treat her."

He scrubbed his hands down his face with a hint of annoyance.
