She'd overlooked something-Finn’s office was in that very building.

The second-to-last was from that exact stationery store, and the last one was from a café right next to the office

building.

When they pulled up the surveillance footage and saw Kimberly on the screen, Kaia pointed at it. “Can | get a

Once the store manager got permission, Kaia returned to the law firm with the footage on a USB.

watching, then slowly pulled out the stationery. She unfolded it, as if saying a final goodbye to the world.

Once Kimberly finished writing, Kaia zoomed in several times, and the words on the stationery were clear as day.

Just as she suspected, part of the note had been erased.
